Progress!

It was a slow-n-steady start almost 2 weeks ago, but over the past four days, the average has been one pound lost per day. I’ve done this enough times to know that that rate isn’t sustainable, but it is extremely helpful for motivation in the beginning.

I’ve created a whole Progress Tracker in Excel which has been a fun task – no, for real. Logging the daily stats helps keep me regimented and focused. I did a short elliptical workout the other day and am planning on going for a nice walk in Barry Park with Bill this morning before it gets too hot, as long as the rain holds off.

I’m also back to weighing and measuring my foods, which also helps spur change.

Serum glucose was 94, serum ketones were 0.4, which is just below the threshold, but it can take some weeks before keto adaptation can occur.

All in all, not too shabby. I’ll be in One-derland before very long.

Still Alive, Still Fat (Again)

So here we are again, lo these many years since.

Though I survived a pandemic, there are pandemic pounds and emotional-eating pounds galore.

I’m back on the Keto train, though, I’ve been doing Lazy Keto the past 10 days or so. Come Monday, I’ll be back to strict logging of foods and counting macros.

I’m keeping my data in an Excel spreadsheet, and I’ll see if I can finagle it into charts or graphs that I can upload here.

Here we go!
